Coastal Christmas

I find such inspiration in how families decorate their entryways for the holidays. It sets the tone for the rest of the house. Here are a few coastal favorites.

A Lisa Luby Ryan Christmas

One of my favorite designers, Lisa Luby Ryan, gives Christmas the shimmer it deserves. Her simple yet classy take on the holidays always leaves me wanting some hot cocoa and a sleigh ride. See if it does the same for you.

Canopy Beds

I'm in search of a canopy or campaign bed. Either one. I love them both. But, I'm looking for twin canopies, which is a little harder than finding the other sizes - full, queen, king and cali king.

Here are some of my favorites.

Anthropologie

This one is my favorite and it does come in twin. Yeah! A little more expensive than I'd like, but, most of the time with design, you do get what you pay for.

Pottery Barn's Antonia

Oly's Diego bed

The Diego is exquisite, and just as handsomely priced. I know you get what you pay for, but, I CAN'T PAY FOR IT!

Pottery Barn Teen MaisonThe Maison is now on sale for $599 for a twin. A steal! Pottery Barn Teen actually has several styles to choose from. And, they're available in twin.

Remember Frances's bed in Under the Tuscan Sun? I think she's cleaning the painting of the Virgin Mary. I know it's not a canopy, but her bed in the movie made a big impression on me.

The Garbo twin iron bed. Way, way out of my price range at $3500, but to me, it's a beauty. I would add an extra boxspring or mattress so that the headboard isn't looming. But, I do love it.

This is considered a campaign style bed, because it resembles the cots that officers slept on during their 'campaigns' in 19th century battles. They usually folded quite easily so that they could be carried to the next campsite or 'campaign'.

And, lastly, the Bunny Iron bed by Corsican. What little girl wouldn't love to be tucked into this. $1999

Sweet dreams!
